USAF BUSINESS SMALL 2 Overview Location Advance Procurement Information Type of Data Contained When Requirements are Updated Explanation of Glossary Terms Manipulation of Data
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 3
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 4
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 5 Advance Procurement Generated from Computations Item Manager Input into D200 Data Base Reported in Logistics Management Data Base via ABCS Updated Comps sent to HQ AFMC RPOW is an HQ AFMC Managed Website Information
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 6 Advance Procurement Information Requirements Generated from the three (3) Air Logistics Centers –OC- Tinker AFB OK, Oklahoma City OK –Robins AFB, Warner-Robins GA –OO- Hill AFB, Ogden UT
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 7 Type Of Data Contained Spares Manufacturing Requirements : –Turbine Engine Components –Airborne Accessories and Instruments –Airframe Structural Items Overhaul/Repair of –Turbine Engine Components –Airborne Accessories and Instruments –Airframe Structural Items
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 8 Type Of Data Contained MAIN MENU REPAIR AND SPARES DATA DISCLAIMER This data is for planning purposes only and may or may not generate due to variability in customer demands and priorities
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 9 When Requirements Are SEMI-ANNUALLY MARCH SEPTEMBER AT LEAST 5 MONTHS LAG TIME Updated
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 10 Explanation of Glossary Key Elements and Explanation –ACS Automated Budget Compilation System, ABCS is the source of RPOW Data –ALC Air Logistic Centers (previously explained) –AMC Acquisition Method Code/Acquisition Method Suffix Code, An Alpha Numeric Code describing the Acquisition Method used to buy the items (competitive or non- competitive)
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 11 Explanation of Glossary Contractor (Ktr) code – Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) Is a 5 Character code assigned by Battle Creek (DLA) to all establishments that are manufacturers or have design control of items of supply procured by the Federal Government. ERRC Expendability, recoverability, repairability category. This will be either N or P for consumables; C or T for recoverable.
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 12 Explanation of Glossary FSC – Federal Stock Class a 4 position field. You may use wild cards i.e. 28% to obtain data on all engines or you may obtain data for all jet aircraft engines by using the 2840 FSC. NIIN - National Item Identification number. Is a nine digit code i.e. an NSN (explained below) minus the first 4 numbers (FSC) NSN - National Stock Number, composed of FSC (4 digits) and NIIN (9 digits) A wildcard (%) can be used in a query to obtain data for either or both FSC and NIIN.
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 13 Explanation of Glossary SMC- System Management Code- Four-Digit code that identifies the application or weapon system with which the part is assoc. SoR – Source of Repair – The Logistic Center where the repair actually takes place. Requirements by Fiscal Year Quantity and Cost Breakout by each FY Spares Cost and Quantity for 3 Years Repair Cost and Quantity for 4 Years
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 14 AMCDESCRIPTION 1Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time 2Suitable for competitive acquisition for the first time 3Acquire for the second or subsequent time from the actual manufacturer 4Acquire for the first time from the actual manufacturer 5Acquire from the sole source contractor which is not the actual manufacturer Explanation of Glossary AMC Codes
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 15 Explanation of Glossary AMSCDESCRIPTION A The Government’s right to use the data is questionable BMust be bought from source(s) specified on a source control drawing CPart requires engineering source approval by the design control activity DData is not physically available GThe Government has the rights to the data package and it is complete. (This is the only AMSC that implies full and open competition)
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 16 Explanation of Glossary AMSCDESCRIPTION H The Government does not have sufficient, accurate, or legible data KPart must be produced from Class 1 Castings LAnnual buy value falls below the screening threshold for competitive buys MMaster tooling is required to manufacture NSpecial test/inspection equipment/facilities are required
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 17 Explanation Of Glossary AMSCDESCRIPTION O Code not assigned, screening incomplete P Right to use the data is not owned by Gov’t QGovernment does not have rights to data- data availability is expected to be achieved. RGov’t does not have data-uneconomical to purchase SRestricted to Gov’t approved source(s)/mil sensitive technology TPart controlled by Qualified Products List (QPL)
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 18 Explanation Of Glossary AMSCDESCRIPTION UCost to compete the item has been determined to exceed savings VHigh reliability part YThe design of the item has been determined unstable ZCommercial, non-developmental, off-the-shelf type item
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 19 AMC/AMSC Targets Restricted –“C” Codes Best Candidates for SARs Require Engineering Approval Data Usually Available May Include Specific Qualification Requirements beyond the Source Approval Information Booklet
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 20 Manipulation of Data RPOW Spares Data Query: Select the Source of Supply What Stock Class are You Interested in Example: Your Source of Supply is OC and you wish to see all requirements in the FSC of Input the info and Select-Find Data. This will pull all Requirements for the current year plus two at that Source of Supply for that FSC.
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 21 Manipulation of Data Hints: You may request data by a part number however, best to request by NSN For multiple NSN’s and PN’s best to download data into an Access file per instructions on Website. Queries by contractor code may be beneficial for partnering efforts
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 22 Contractor Participation Time allowed for each contractor to run query Instruction on query problems that may arise Time allowed will be approximately 20 minutes for each contractor
USAF BUSINESS SMALL 23 Conclusion Comments Discussion
