Update slide numbers in the uppermost right side of each slide with your individual project identification number “XXX” provided to you at time of registration. Only update the “XXX” portion of the slide number, keep the DA- and the trailing numeral. Update project data as required in right margin. Do not change the background color of this slide or the orientation of the right margin. Your Project Statement should contain two components; the Project Story and the Project Statement Project Story Your written Project Story is intended to respond to the notion that “Every Building Has an Architect and Every Building Has a Story”. Using just one paragraph, relate the story behind the design, importance and positive results of your efforts. Keep in mind that this paragraph will be used during the Awards Ceremony and we will ask that you include it on your printed display board. Project Description This description is intended to address the context, challenges and constraints of the project and the design solution or process used in response. Please be clear and concise and word the description in such a way as to inform the Jury about the important aspects of your design. Additional descriptive information may be added to other subsequent slides if desired. The name of the project can be mentioned generically. For example, entrants may say, “The education center was designed for the university,” instead of, “The Ann Andrews Center was designed for Sacramento State University.” Projects using actual project names in text descriptions and/or visible in photographs or graphics will be disqualified. Notes: Including this Project Description and Data slide, final submittal shall not contain more than 15 slides as follows: Slide No. 1.Project Description and Data Slide No. 2.Site Plan Slide No. 3.Floor Plan(s) Slides No. 4-15.Additional Image Slides Total file size cannot exceed 8MB. Do not submit this PowerPoint file. All files must be converted to a single PDF format file prior to submittal. Please refer to the instructions document for further information on file conversion.

2 DA-XXX-02 Site Plan Graphic Template This slide must follow the Project Description slide. All site plan and floor plan(s) should be oriented in the same direction throughout the presentation. Please also include a north arrow and a graphic scale on all plans. Images may fill the entire slide area, or may be a composition of multiple images. Text may be inserted as desired, but please be concise and take care to make it large enough to be legible. All of this instructional text shall be removed from this template except the Entry Number in the upper right hand corner. The color of the Entry Number may be adjusted for legibility purposes but please do not move or resize it and please review each slide to assure that the “XXX” portion of the Entry Number is correctly identified with the number provided to you at registration. IMPORTANT: Project authorship will remain concealed throughout the jury deliberations. If authorship is revealed on any of the photos, plans, slides, narratives, or site visits, the entry will be disqualified. Review your entry carefully!

3 DA-XXX-03 Floor Plan Graphic Template This slide must follow the Site Plan slide. All site plans and floor plans should be oriented in the same direction throughout the presentation. If more than one slide is needed to represent multiple floor plans, additional floor plans can be provided on the subsequent image slides. Total slide count however cannot exceed 15 slides and 8MB. You may use this slide and others of the same format for additional graphics including; additional floor plans, diagrams, sections, elevations, photographs, etc. Total slide count however cannot exceed 15 slides and 8MB. Images may fill the entire slide area, or may be a composition of multiple images. Text may be inserted as desired, but please be concise and take care to make it large enough to be legible. All of this instructional text shall be removed from this template except the Entry Number in the upper right hand corner. The color of the Entry Number may be adjusted for legibility purposes but please do not move or resize it and please review each slide to assure that the “XXX” portion of the Entry Number is correctly identified with the number provided to you at registration.
