2 Problem: Many people want to make healthier eating choices Their overall health goals are often derailed by cravings Cravings strike anywhere, anytime

7 Three Tasks Testing & development revolved around 3 primary tasks Follow from user interviews Designed to capture user behavior

8 Task 1: Initialize & Set a Goal Bob just installed QuitIt on his phone He navigates through the orientation (first-time use experience) screens and sets up his first goal

9 Task 2: Report a Craving Bob experiences a serious craving and uses QuitIt to reach out to others for help

10 Task 3: Reply to a Message Julia sees Bob’s message and writes him a helpful and supportive reply

12 Design Evolution: Step 1 Contextual interviews & experience sampling revealed: –Goal setting works –Support from others desired, including unsolicited msgs –Association between emotional stress/crisis and indulging –Desire for expression of emotional crisis
