First we had a 10 minute walk to the local market. Then we chose some vegetables to make the soup.Then the lady weighed the vegetables.After that we paid for the vegetables.

We did some veggie art with the vegetables we bought.we cut some pieces of paper into shapes of vegetables and we stuck them on a piece of paper.
Equipment used: Sharp Knife Vegetable Peeler Chopping Board Grater Cup Plate & bowl Colander & saucepan Spoon Sink to wash the vegetables 1lb Carrots 3 Leeks 1lb Potatoes Salt & Pepper 2 litre water Chicken stock cube Grated Cheshire cheese Cup of oatmeal
1. Wash the vegetables and then peel them using the vegetable peeler. 2. Carefully chop the vegetables into small pieces using the sharp knife. Be very careful when using the knife! 3. Put the stock in a large saucepan and boil. 4. Add the vegetables to the stock and mix together. 5. Lower the heat to simmer and cover for 15 minutes. 6. Grate the carrot and scrape the oatmeal into the saucepan and mix together. 7. Then cover and simmer for 15 more minutes. 8. When the soup is ready, stir in the cheese and cover for a few minutes. 9. Then stir and ladle into bowls to serve. We liked the soup very much!
