Pre Reading Activity A Get pupils to guess the name of the animals found in the picture Pupils are picked at random to answer.

While Reading Activity A Students sit in groups of 3’s or 4’s. They are instructed to observe the picture shown and discuss about the pollution and what will happen to the sea creatures in the near future. After the discussion a member of the group reads out their answers loudly in class.
While Reading Activity B (3.9.1) Based on the picture, the sea is polluted discuss what will happened to the animals now. 1.The sea creatures will disappear. 2.The animals will lose their home/habitat. 3. Sea creatures will not be able to get oxygen to breathe.
Post Reading Activity B In groups of 3s teacher asks students to list the things one could do to help keep the ocean clean. The students are given a worksheet to write their ideas on. A student from the group is called to read out their points.
