dMT – SPC Dry Metal Protective Coatings dMT Ecotech GmbH International of Munich, Germany Solutions for friction control Unmanaged friction leads to premature metal wear = higher maintenance costs + unnecessary down-time
dMT – SPC Dry Metal Protective Coatings dMT-SPC surface protective coatings contain highly effective components (no graphite), which create and maintain an optimum coefficient-of-friction between two contacting metal surfaces.
dMT – SPC Dry Metal Protective Coatings Substantial reduction of wear (metal flaking) = increased operating lives of wheels / rails, generally 3-5 times longer minimum. Proven wear reduction up to 80%; Continual, balanced coating (conditioning) of the metal surfaces to achieve a permanent, optimum coefficient of friction; Dry coating – does not absorb dust particles, excellent bonding to metal surfaces, weather-resistent, temperature resistent up to 310 deg. C; No negative influence on the operation of the machinery, no major alterations necessary for installation; Maintenance-free, except when replacement blocks to be inserted; Environmentally safe / does not endanger ground, water or air / not toxic / no-flammable or explosive / clean area near equipment as coating does not drip or migrate and is neither a grease nor an oil. Benefits & Characteristics
dMT-SPC Coatings Type TSB for Crane Wheels Crane Wheels and Rails TSB-080 Block with stainless-steel, spring-loaded applicator type KR-SB-270 for wheel flange coating
Crane Wheels and Rails Block TSB-080
Crane Wheels and Rails dMT-SPC Metal Protection Coatings for Crane Wheels TSB-080 low c.o.f. lubricant blocksMSB-075 traction block with high c.o.f.
Crane Wheels and Rails dMT-SPC Metal Protection Coatings for Crane Wheels SPC Block Type MSB-075 rail-mounted for standard crane rail tread (rail mounting is preferred as the block not only coats the rail head, but keeps it free of dust particles, which allows the wheel to traverse a clean, coated surface. On cranes where rail mounting is not possible, the blocks are installed onto the wheel tread and transfers also to the rail head.) (crane rail tread) By increasing traction between the crane wheel tread and the top of the rail, wheel slippage and crabbing (lateral migration) is substantially reduced, which in turn reduces metal flaking (wear) and chatter marks. A crane can operate at full efficiently with less energy consumption and less vibration. Metal wear can be reduced by up to 80%, increasing wheel / rail operating life by 3 – 5 X.
Products dMT-SPC Interlocking low c.o.f. blocks with steel applicator 2 interlocking SPC blocks type TSB-080 with spring-loaded, stainless-steel applicator
Products dMT-SPC Interlocking traction blocks with steel applicator 2 interlocking SPC traction-enhancement blocks type MSB-075 with spring-loaded, stainless steel applicator
Products dMT-SPC steel applicator with arm Stainless-steel applicator type KR-SB-160MH with mounting bracket welded to applicator for easy installation of standard applicators (no need for steel clamps)
dMT – SPC Mounting Instructions for KR-SB Stainless-Steel Applicators to Flange Surfaces Crane Wheels and Rails Radial Alignment of SPC KR-SB steel applicators Best position for applicators is when they point in a line directly toward the center point, or axis, of the wheel. (Figure 1). They should also be in a position generally perpendicular to the surface to be coated. (Figure 2)
Products dMT-SPC steel applicator clamp Steel applicator threaded-bolt clamp type KVR & KVR for easy installation of standard applicators
Products dMT-SPC steel applicator clamp holder Unit type SKS-2KR with cross-bar and clamp device for easy installation of standard applicators
