When looking for a Title of a book- ignore the first word in the title, if it is “The”, “A”, or “An”. The Big Game- look under “B” A Wrinkle in Time – look under “W” An Octopus for Molly- look under “O”
3. Find the Call Number on the left corner: E = Easy F = Fiction 857.9 = Nonfiction 4. Locate your book! * Fiction books are in ABC order. *Nonfiction books are in number order, grouped by subject.
Subject and Author Cards Follow the same procedure for author and subject searches. Search for an author by finding the drawer marked with the first letter of the author's last name. For biography, search by the famous person’s last name.
