What is the coffee campaign? We want our customers to agree that Mugg & Bean is the best place for coffee. We want to create awareness around our different coffee products and want our customers to talk about how good our coffee is. To help us achieve this we have created a campaign that is called: GREAT COFFEE. GREAT CONVERSATIONS.
The first phase of the campaign will consist of a few different marketing elements. They are: A new coffee menu Waiter badges Coffee conversation Table Talkers New coffee coasters Cross- selling pins & An online application The next few slides will show visuals of actual elements...
The menu is designed to fit inside the existing menu so that it can be presented either with the existing menu or on its own. This stand-alone coffee menu will help customers place a quick coffee order either before a meal or after a meal. All the products on the menu are existing products. This menu will help create awareness around our Coffee offering as well as help build the GREAT COFFEE GREAT CONVERSATION concept. Coffee menu The menus must be kept in the menu stand
Waiter conversations There are 2 elements to assist waiters in creating conversation with customers around coffee. The first is a badge that must be worn every day: And the second a Table Talker. Badges must be worn on the left-hand shoulder by all waiters every day
Coffee conversation Table Talkers This table talker has 4 fun coffee questions on it and it instructs the customers to ask the waiters for the answers. There are ‘cheat sheets’ with all 4 answers on them that waiters can carry inside their apron pocket. Table Talker must appear second; after the Cake & Coffee Table Talker Cheat sheets must be kept inside the waiter’s apron pocket so that it’s on hand when customers ask for the answers Cheat sheet Table Talker
Conversation starter coaster We have updated the design on our coffee coasters. There are 10 different fun conversation starter questions on the coasters. There are no specific answers to the questions they are designed to get people talking about the subject or start a conversation. If there is stock of the current coasters in the store; please mix them into this batch so that customers receive a mixture of old and new designs.
Cross-selling There are 6 different round cards on plastic pins with generic coffee messages on them. These pins go into the muffins in the muffin display area to draw attention to our beautiful muffins and to encourage customers to enjoy a coffee with their muffin. The plastic pin is designed to stick into a muffin leaving only a very small indent. Use 2 to 3 pins & muffins a day and ensure that the messages are visible to customers above the muffin signage.
Online Conversation Starter Customers will be able to go onto muggandbean.co.za /.mobi / Facebook and review pre-written or user generated conversation starters coupled with an accompanying M&B coffee. Users will also be able to share any of the conversation starters (including related coffee) plus create and share their own conversation starters with friends on Facebook & twitter. – Each conversation starter will be accompanied by an M&B coffee (photo + description) and when users create their own conversation starters they will have to choose an accompanying M&B coffee to best suit their conversation starter
