Why only Angels of Color? Fallen Angels is not to undermine the memories of others. No life was more precious than the next. All are cherished and mourned by their families and nation. However, I am haunted by the number of women of color who died mysteriously, of unknown causes, and violently, in non-combat-related incidents. Some were shot. At least one was raped and murdered. Others died of ‘illnesses’, even though they were in perfect health and had been medically cleared for active duty. Thus… Fallen Angels is born of utter sadness, yet is filled with my hope and prayers that all wars will cease.
