Software as a Service model(SaaS): Allows users to run existing online applications Off the shell applications are accessed over the internet. Does not control the O.S, h/w, n/w infrastructure. Platform as a Service (PaaS): Allows users to create their own cloud applications using supplier specific tools and languages. It creates environment to develop own applications by means of tools Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Allows users to run applications they please on the hardware of their choice Allows existing application to run on cloud supplier’s hardware
CLOUD STORAGE OPTIONS AMAZON CLOUD DRIVE : While the Amazon Cloud Drive mostly supports uploading of photographs. Users may be able to preserve some of their purchased videos or e-books for access on any device. SKYDRIVE : SkyDrive users are granted 7GB of storage for photos and specifically Microsoft Office file types. DROPBOX users are granted 2GB of free space initially with the ability to move up to as much as 16GB.
GOOGLE DRIVE : Many online companies are working with Gmail, Google Docs, and other services that can be best stored and viewed right within Google Drive. So in order to meet the future requirements by means of cloud technology “connected car ” concept came into existence. With the connected car concept and space being premium in the vehicle dash board automobile companies offer several application and services over the cloud. HCL has done a remarkable research and provide solutions with the two concepts AGORA and AEGIS.
Agora is a next generation services platform to enable, deliver, aggregate and distribute Cloud/M2M services for technology and service provider companies. It mainly dealt with 4 services such as service enablement, service delivery, service aggregation, service distribution. Aegis is a home automation solution empowering user to control multiple devices, manage media, monitor and optimize energy consumption and enabling secure homes. It provides multiple functionalities like Home automation, Energy and management, security and surveillance etc.

This platform enables the following: Customer specific application-private cloud: HCL proposes to on-board such Telematics services on the platform to be delivered as a service over the cloud. The customer would have an option to select the applications & services he wants to subscribe to and pay for the same. Ecosystem specific application: s ervice provider can open a part of the platform for ecosystem partners such as their employees, vendors, dealers and customers to write specific applications of interest for this eco-system.
3rd Party cloud services: Platform also supports integration/aggregation of paid 3rd party services such as internet radio - Pandora, weather updates, traffic updates and route guidance. Services provider can buy minutes from the 3rd party service provider and bill the customer as per usage. Integration with home gateway: Access home gateway to monitor and control devices at home Monitor and control energy usage in house Access security systems such as CCTV cameras Access and monitor security systems at home
PLM IN THE CLOUD PLM in the cloud is an internet based system for managing a product, to manage the stages of product development in order to integrate, track and regulate changes to the product. Cloud PLM systems are being used by manufacturers to untangle change requests and orders, streamline supply chain interactions and increase coherence. PLM is cloud friendly because it transfers data to the supply chain and is broken down into a series of PDF 2D drawings, which significantly reduces data weight.
Arena solutions for PLM in the cloud Arena has been redefining PLM with a suite of cloud applications that enable engineering, manufacturing and their extended supply chains to work better together. Arena Part list and Arena PDX viewers are applications which are used for designing, documenting and sharing the prototypes. Arena’s cloud-based Parts List application is the first tool specifically designed to help engineers create BOMs in the innovation period of product development.
Autodesk Cloud services Autodesk 360 is a cloud-based platform for accessing a range of cloud services, from basic editing to powerful rendering. Collaboration PLM 360 is represented as a holistic system which is designed for business process management, information sharing and collaboration of all phases in product management. Industrial enterprises are in a PLM 360 quality software that runs entirely in the cloud and in terms of functionality little to be desired can be expected.

Google cloud services Google is one of the cloud service provider for many companies and users. Google Cloud Platform enables developers to build, test and deploy applications on Google’s highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure It has two platforms in which applications are developed: 1.Compute engine. 2.App engine It provides many services with respect of cloud like Cloud storage, Cloud DNS, Translate API, Cloud end points. Translate API :Quickly and dynamically translate between thousands of available language pairs within your app, integrating with Google Translate.
