6 Once from Michigan State University in 2003 and once from Calvin College in 2005. My diverse college experience helps me be the unique individual I am today: 1 part party, 1 part extremely disciplined and strict.

11 Be teachable. Are you on task? Are you ready? Are you willing? Are you proud of the work you’re doing? Are you asking questions that matter? Would your mother/father/grandmother/pastor/little brother be proud? 12 Stay together as a class. Exit quietly and quickly. Meet in the designated space. Stay there until told to return to the room. Attendance will be taken outside, if you are not where you’re supposed to be your participation grade will be penalized. First person back to the room gets 3 BBPs, second person gets 2, third person gets 1.

14 Earn extra credit every time you participate in a positive way. You don’t have to get the right answer. Keep track of your points every day on your card and have your card signed at the end of every class. **Señora WILL NOT sign points from previous days. After you earn 20 Barry Bueno points, turn in your full, signed card and bump ANY grade up 5 points!

15 Late = did not turn in when required due to negligence on the part of the student. Late work will not receive full credit. Make up work = did not turn in when required due to an absence from school ON the due date. Don’t turn make up work into late work by failing to turn it in in a timely manner! Make up work must be turned in within 5 days of your return to class. YOU are responsible for your make up work. Only work missed during EXCUSED absences will be considered for full credit. UNEXCUSED = partial credit

16 Do not create or become a distraction. Do not get out of your seat unnecessarily. If you’re drawing attention to yourself in a negative way, don’t get belligerent when you’re addressed in a negative way. Do not wait to be asked to work. Do not expect to be asked to work. Do not expect to be rewarded for working. Use technology for academics. Do not lounge around off-task, watch youtube videos, snap chat, text, or use google translate. Do not act surprised or innocent when you’re caught lounging around, watching youtube videos, snap chatting, texting, or using google translate. Do not try to negotiate with me. Do as you’re instructed. Period. Do not act surprised when you are reprimanded or removed for failing to do as you’re instructed.
