STATS Participation drops off sharply as time passes. So far only 6 patients have completed all three stages. Patients started becoming eligible for their 18 month survey after November, 2013.
STATS Patients’ self-perception improved dramatically between baseline scores and six month assessment. They improved even more into the 18 month period. There was some drop-off between 6 and 18 months (perhaps the “honeymoon” phase of the surgery ending?). In the long run, patients scored their overall health at 18 months as 30.8% improved and their overall mental health as 16.2% improved over baseline scores.
STATS So, how does this compare with the survey results presented this time last year? * Dashed lines represent the graph area from the 2013 charts. April 2014 – 6 Month April Baseline
