Previous Road Base Treatments exacerbated issues Hurdles to overcome: Extensive block cracking, base failures, water pumping and general age deterioration.
TO GET FROM POINT A Construction Scenario Chosen skin patch bad surface areas dry out water pumping areas Apply PM Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal over street surfaces to bridge cracks and create a new, uniform driving surface Slurry at a later date to complete Cape Seal. PT. A
AND ARRIVE AT POINT B PMA Rubber Binder used for the following reasons: Cost effective treatment compared to full rehab Flexibility of polymer modified / tire rubber binder to seal the surface, bridge and fill cracks. Expected life of treatment used. PT. B
