5 Famiglia, Conciliazione, Integrazione e Solidarietà sociale Work-life balancing: a new regional policy The reform process of the welfare state is at the top of the regional policy agenda The strategic approach is focused on: Family mainstreaming - Integration of policies along the work- family balance “value chain”: enterprise, labour, family and urban development Co-design and Co-production of interventions - Encouraging co-production processes among private and public actors and active involvement of civil society; Freedom of choice of citizens and firms guaranteed by a competitive network of private and public service providers Networking at the local level and improving sustainability – in particular the development of territorial networks for work- family balance based on the capacity to design services on a more accurate assessment of local specific needs and by involving all social actors in local planning activities. 5 Work-life balance as a privileged platform to experiment innovative actions

8 Famiglia, Conciliazione, Integrazione e Solidarietà sociale The scheme of the specific incentives works on three parallel trajectories: the set up and mentoring of 13 Territorial networks for work-family balance the provision of Dote vouchers two targets: services for citizens incentives to hiring for SMEs the call for proposal for Enterprise welfare projects

13 Famiglia, Conciliazione, Integrazione e Solidarietà sociale Francesca Pasquini - Eupolis Lombardia13 Future perspectives  The work on the 13 territorial networks continues: - new resources for experimenting the Dote programmes in all 13 areas - extension to new target to families with care responsibilities for the elderly and disabled - expansion of the range of welfare services  New call for company-based welfare projects  Closer focus on second-level collective agreements  The total budget for the next programme of incentives amounts to around 15 mio€

Practices that conciliate work and family include, with reference to this award, all policies and initiatives regarding: personnel management, task management, company and inter-company welfare and connections with local welfare policies. These practices aim to improve the business climate and create the perfect balance between personal commitments, family life, and business associates/colleagues. 147 project from over the world 5 awards: Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Lombardy Region
