Bhaurao Patil had a son named Appasaheb. Bhaurao Patils wife Laxshmibai gave her valuable contribution to the Karmveer’s social work. She was known as “Vahini.” Laxmibai was his wife.

He was associated with the work of mass education as early as 1909 at Duthagoan, dist Sangli.1959 marked the completion of 50 years of his monumental work.
