13 © 2010, UMBC Training Centers, LLC UMBC Recommended Pathway for DoD

14 DoD Rationale for UMBC TC Recommended Certification Pathway to obtain complete certification from entry level to IASAE is as follows: It relies on only five (5) certifications (A+, Network+, Security+, CEH, CISSP) to cover all but two of the cells in the 8570 Certification Table. Only one additional certification (ISSAM/ISSEP/ISSAP) (for which the others are pre-requisite) is required to satisfy the remaining two cells (IASAE and CND SP Manager) © 2010, UMBC Training Centers, LLC

15 UMBC TC Recommended Certification Pathway Most of the individual certifications satisfy several categories and/or levels on the 8570 Certification Table. These 5 certifications are the most widely recognized by industry and government, and therefore the most widely sought after by employees to advance their careers. These 5 certifications offer corporations the best opportunity to achieve economies of scale, significantly lower costs, and reduce the time required to achieve broad certification percentage requirements. © 2010, UMBC Training Centers, LLC
