3 Transportation Successes Contract award for the route 40 & 715 intersection upgrades Army certification of APG’s Defense Access Roads (DAR) request Establishment of the “Transportation Interagency Working Group” among MDOT, APG, Harford County, City of Aberdeen, and CSSC Memorandum Of Understanding signed Oct 10 “ To implement Transportation Demand Management Practices in Support of Aberdeen Proving Ground regional growth, including the Base Realignment and Closure Actions of 2005” Prepared Transportation Management Plan to:  Promote use of alternatives to single occupancy vehicle (SOV) travel  Create APG TDM Communication Program  Create incentive programs to encourage non-SOV travel  Promote work patterns to reduce peak demand

4 APG Mass Transit Information Vanpools: 23 currently commuting to APG – Maryland: 6 Cecil County: 1 Harford County: 1 Baltimore City: 2 Baltimore County: 3 – New Jersey: 7Pennsylvania: 1 Delaware: 6Virginia: 1 * 2 ADDITIONAL VANPOOLS BEGAN IN SEPTEMBER/ 1 POTENTIALLY STARTING IN NOVEMBER Train – Subsidy applications for train use submitted in September: 6 – Average shuttle bus riders for July: 15 Subscription Bus : 2 from New Jersey ($450/mo) – Vendor began using 2 nd 55-passenger bus in August NEW SUBSIDY APPLICANTS PROCESSED FOR SEPTEMBER: 40 Approximately 350 enrolled in Mass Transit Benefit Program
