9 How are we assessing stakeholder involvement? zThrough recording the range of involvement in the project zThrough monitoring of people’s responses to the project yAssessment of random samples of the population to see how their attitudes to the river, the project and their impact upon the river change during the project

10 What does this mean outside the catchment? zImplications for Water Framework Directive (notably Article 14) zDemonstrating community participation (not just consultation) zGuidance on how to integrate local people and national agencies zProvides important input for predicting likely outcomes - can we change people’s responses and attitudes?
