When the boy wasted all of his father’s money on parties and unnecessary things and then came back to ask for forgiveness, his father did forgive him because he was his son. He was ready to live with a cleansed soul and a purified heart. In the exact same way, God loves us as he is our father and we are his children. When we have made a mistake, we have learnt from them, and are ready to start anew. In this story, immense love is shown for all of the family. Love comes from the bottom of your hearts, where it is true and pure.
When I have been rude to my/family. When I am asked to do something and I don’t do it first time. When I am lazy and don’t respect the people around me. When I tell lies to protect myself from punishment. LORD I AM SORRY
Let’s just have some reflective time whilst you watch the pictures to think about how we can show our love for others in our lives.
1. Sometimes I’m naughty, I know I’ve been bad, I say such unkind things and make people sad. Chorus: Father, help me today, help me to please you I pray. I want to say, I want to say. That I’m so sorry Lord. 2. I’m rude to my family, I want my own way, i don’t show them kindness, or do what they say. Chorus In love you forgive me. I’m glad I’m your child, your spirit lives in me to change me inside. Father, help me today, help me to please you I pray. I want to say, I want to say, how much I love you Lord.
As the pot comes around place a pebble in the pot and think of something you wish to say sorry for
God our Father, Place in my heart a desire to please You. Fill my mind with thoughts of Your Love, so that I may grow in Your Wisdom and enjoy Your Peace. Let our minds understand this love of yours and accept it as a small gift. May your everlasting love touch each one of our hearts and let it shine forever more. Let the bonds of love fill us with happiness. Amen.
