W ISE J UDGMENT VS. C OURAGE Wise Judgment and Justice focus on knowing what is right, while courage focuses on doing the right. Courage enables us to tackle the fear and dread in the way of our doing good.
Courage is cautious and fearful, not daring or fearless. Courage travels with a supportive environment, rather than going it alone. Courage often involves hanging in there during tough times, rather than saving the day with bold moves. Hence, courage requires endurance, patience and a never-give-up attitude

Courage is the ability to do good in the face of harm, thus overcoming our fear. (Have you ever loved so much that you did not mind facing all kinds of obstacles?) I think it takes courage for a marriage to last, courage to say “till death do us part” and mean it.
Courage overcomes fear. The book mentions fear of: rejection, boredom, failure, poverty, losing a job, the unfamiliar (break-ups), humiliation, harm or death. What are some of your greatest fears? We overcome our fear by 1) identifying the fear, 2) recognizing the fear, 3) taming the fear.
Meeting small challenges builds our confidence and broadens our range of experience. By living courageously everyday, we help loosen the grip that fear may have on us. What helps you to get out of bed in the morning on tough days? The point is that God loves us and brings about good even in the darkest times.
