The first American flag was created by Betsy Ross in It had 13 stars for the 13 colonies. Then it kept changing because there were more states. Finally, America had 50 states with 50 stars on the flag.
Before the United states of America was a country, the British ruled it and they were called the 13 colonies. Those include Georgia, NC, SC, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Rhode island.
The 13 colonies didn’t want to be bossed around by the British people. So they declared war! George Washington was the leader of the American army. There were about 75 soldiers in the American army and way more British soldiers than American. Luckily, the American army won the war.
The declaration of independence was signed in It was signed by George Washington, John Adams, and Ben Franklin. When it as signed, the colonies became a country called, the United states of America. The capital was named after George Washington- Washington DC. Image of the declaration of independence
There were a lot of songs for the American like America the beautiful, Grand old flag, and our national anthem, The star spangled banner. Even Yankee doodle was included, but it was made to make fun of the Americans.
The British forced Americans to pay taxes on things like tea. But the colonists didn’t want to pay taxes on tea, So they disguised as Indians, got on a ship, and threw barrels of tea out to sea. Then they declared war.
The 10 amendments are very important of the constitution. The only ones I know are the freedom of speech, religion, and press, right to beat arms( you can keep a gun), and quartering of soldiers( you can keep soldiers in your house).
We have freedom now. So we aren’t ruled and we are fit together as a united nation, the united states of America.
