By focusing on one part of the plant at a time, the students will be able to understand how each part of the plant is important and how the parts of a plant are connected. I would use this in a science lesson to teach students how plants grow and why they are important in our lives. I would have the students grow their own plant and observe it as it grows. I would have students fill in a KWL chart. They would write down what they know about plants and what they would like to know about plants. The students would also create their own diagrams about the important parts of a plant. The students can add more observations than the ones they have learned. At the end of the lesson, I would have students share their diagrams of a plant and what they have learned from this assignment.
