Review 1.When working in a sustained manner, make sure your eyes, belly button, and toes are all on the same plane. 2.Do not become one with your work station! If you find yourself melding with your work station, it’s time to take a break (short or long) and stretch! 3.Let your body breathe. 4.Move… a lot…and often. 5.Stretch. 6.Place things that are needed where you have to get up and get them to create ongoing, spontaneous work activity breaks. 7.Look across the room for 20 seconds every so often. 8.Orient each work task to yourself. 9.Find multiple posture opportunities to do the same task (sit one time, stand the next). 10.Perform some work activities standing, especially if they are of short duration.
11.Sit 90/90/90. 12.Place your elbows at “comfortable 90”. 13.“Float”, not rest, your wrists and hands at your keyboard. 14.Keep your mouse at full arms reach. 15.For mouse intensive work, slide your body to align your mouse hand with your mouse. 16.Tell a joke (even to yourself), laugh! 17.Grow a plant at your desk (improves oxygen content). 18.Listen to your body; the “correct” setup may not be the proper setup. 19.Change your seat settings all day long; remember to recline when pondering or listening to ideas. 20.Work to comfort, not tolerance.
