4 What’s new in RCE 9.0 Support of Video point to point
MY IC Phone family Desktop 8082 My IC Phone: R260 Support of Video point to point Manager Assistant function Extended range: 8002 / 8012 phones * Social Networking My IC Social Networks Mobility Support of IP DECT Access Point (4080 IP DECT AP) Call control on My IC Web for Office To enable the dual mode feature for My IC Mobile for iPhone, a Basic SIP phone device must be created in addition to the “My IC Mobile” terminal (Virtual Terminal). The SIP phone and the My IC Mobile are not associated in a multi-set, it is only used as a mobility/nomadic destination SIP is used to establish a media session over WiFi with the mobile. A new option will be added in the routing view that will allow the user to enable or disable the VoWifi feature. If option is on, automatically the My IC Mobile will activate mobility mode to SIP device, but if the user wants to disable this automatic mechanism, he can do it by selecting the mobility mode to his GSM number or by disabling VoWifi. (*) Commercial availability for 8002/12 sets will be in 1Q13

5 What’s new in RCE 9.0 (cont.)
New Core Business features Manager Assistant configurations Groupware facilities (Supervision) Automatic Call Distribution: Smart Call routing capabilities Serviceability: OXO as an NTP client Continous SIP Trunking evolutions Cope with Carriers demands Early media control Usage of G711 codec for Music on Hold Fax over IP: Support of CNG tone User identity registration From R9 onwards, OXO can be an NTP client: (NTP stands for Network Time Protocol) Implementation is compliant with RFC 5905 (Network Time Protocol V4) OXO is the time server for all devices (My IC Phone, 4135 …) being registered on it (use of SNTP protocol) OXO can become optionally an NTP client, thus requiring time synchronization (UTC date: Universal Time Coordinated) every minute from an external time server whether located on the LAN or on the WAN (Internet) ISDN synchronization and NTP synchronization are mutually exclusive All related settings whether for NTP or ISDN (new, no anymore)) synchronization are handled in OMC By default NTP client is disabled This certificate is called static because it’s embedded in a release and never modified on the system. It’s used in R900 only by My IC Phones and 80x2 Desk Phones. This certificate was used in R820 for My IC Phones andOT4135, and also by any application connecting to OXO on the port 443. Between the release 820 and 900, the static certificate has been recreated, in order to keep a high level of security. It’s a 2048 bits wide X509 certificate, and is presented in R900 on the port

Fully integrated with OXO environment including ALU DECT handsets Full capacity on Compact Edition High density of calls per AP Single point of management Easy deployment OXO RCE R9.0 LAN 4080 IP-DECT AP ALU DECT handsets Benefit: Full IP centric deployment Integration in OXO environment: AP auto discovery, keep alive ALU DECT HS are explicitly identified in OMC. Third party GAP HS are not identified (like ALU sets), they are seen as generic IP DECT handsets Only 4080 AP are supported on OXO R9.0 Branch Offices type of topology is not supported as it implies different subnets ! Same cluster means that each AP must have at least a radio link with another one (maillage radio) All AP must be in the same subnet, otherwise handover is not supported, roaming is OK Supported topologies: DECT APs must be in the same cluster (handover domains) Separated clusters part of the same subnet are allowed without handover !

45 IP DECT handsets are handled as SIP devices
OXO RCE 9.0 IP DECT key elements SIP IP DECT handsets are handled as SIP devices Third-party DECT * (GAP mode ) 8232 DECT 500 DECT DECT GAP Protocol only OMC Administrator 4080 IP-DECT AP OXO RCE R9.0 SIP registrar DHCP Server TFTP Server (DAP configuration file) SIP Proxy / Registrar Supervision of DAPs Collect data from DAPs OXO configuration DAP configurator IP DECT handset subscription Third party GAP HS are not identified (like ALU sets), they are seen as generic IP DECT handsets Only 4080 AP are supported on OXO R9.0 Handsets are primarily registered on the master DAP, the first 25 and then on the next DAP In case of failure of a DAP, handsets registered on it will not be accessible anymore. Then related DECT handsets subscription will be redistributed among the other DAPs (subscription records are moved automatically after 3mn) Keep alive mechanism between OXO and the DAPs exists as well. In case of DAP failure OXO logs an event in the HW anomaly table Synchronization between DAPs for handover purpose is performed over the air (whereas with IBS it was done by OXO via the UA link). It implies to locate properly DAPs (*) Third party GAP handsets are not identified (like ALU sets), they are seen as generic IP DECT handsets

46 OXO RCE R9 DECT infrastructure compatibility
GAP IP DECT 4080 IP DECT AP LAN OR SIP OXO RCE R9.0 onwards UA IBS and IP DECT can not coexist The first base station plugged will automatically set the type of infrastructure Or when the first handset is created in OMC, the administrator will be asked to select the type of infrastructure as shown Once the DECT solution is set, only related access points (IBS or IP DECT) will be accepted 4070 (IBS) MR 400 GAP IP will provide a Voice GAP feature level (less than AGAP), can be compared to SIP but in addition will enable Web Services enabling new advanced facilities like: UDA, DbN Communications log …. In fact the new OT 82xx range will be consistent with the My IC family ….! 500 DECT AGAP GAP Omni Touch 8232
