4. LIUDISKIAI MOUND, “THE LIGHT OF HAPPENESS” You can climb the mound. But don’t turn back – the sly ghosts will bring to ruin you. There is the grave on the top. It’s the place of memoriam for great humanist Jonas Biliunas. There is the monument on the grave. It is named The Light of Happiness, like the title of one Biliunas’ story. It looks above the green pine trees, so bright and slender like everlasting dream about the happiness. SIAURUKAS – THE NARROW RAILWAY Siaurukas is one of the unique narrow railways in Europe. It reaches Panevezys – Anyksciai – Rubikiai. Siaurukas reflects the reality of the end of XIX th century. There is a museum in Anyksciai. You can see some really locomotives there.

5. THE MOUND VORUTA It is one of the biggest and grandest mounds in Aukstaitija, in Elme park. There flows two streams Vorelis and Volupis through the deep valley. In the XIII th century a strong wooden castle was on this mound. The scientists have the hypothesis: the first Lithuanian capital Voruta was in this place. There is the post for king Mindaugas on the foot of the mound. It was founded on June 10, 1978 on the initiative of professor of Lithuanian Agricultural academy P. Vasinauskas, (Niūronys village. This Horse museum is designed to resemble horse-breeding history, visitors may look round philately exhibition, smith’s tools, see carts, wheels, ploughs collected from all over Lithuania.
