3 2. List ways in which government comes in contact with you in each of the following areas of your life. Home: The government provides construction standards and rules for the safety of your house. School: The government sets up public schools, provides textbooks, curriculum, free and reduced lunch programs and testing guidelines.

4 2. List ways in which government comes in contact with you in each of the following areas of your life. Shopping: You pay state sales tax on all items you purchase. The Federal government sets food safety standards. Travel: The government provides your state and interstate road system, air traffic controllers for airports, and safety standards for planes and public transportation vehicles.

5 We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
