FINDING WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU & OTHERS! 1 Cor. 12: 12-31 – Analogy of the Body “As the body is one, having many members, and all the members, while being many, form one body, so it is with Christ. All of us whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, have been baptized in one Spirit to form one body… The body has not just one member, but many. If the foot should say, “I do not belong to the body for I am not a hand”, it would be wrong: it is part of the body! … if all the body were an eye, how would we hear?...” ONE BODY, MANY MEMBERS, DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS
Acts 6: 1- 4 In those days, as the number of disciples grew, the so-called Hellenists complained against the so- called Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution. So the twelve summoned the whole body of disciples together and said, “It is not right that we should neglect the Word of God to serve at tables. So, friends, choose from among yourselves seven respected men full of the Spirit, and wisdom, that we may appoint them to this task. As for us we shall give ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word”.
