4 4 SWG 1 Accessibility JTC 1 Committee Australian Mirror Committee (where applicable) / Chair Participation (P /O member) Terms of referenceStandards and Projects under the direct responsibility Current status ISO/IEC JTC 1/SWG 1 Accessibility No mirror committee P member1.Determine an approach to, and implement, the gathering of accessibility‐related information, being mindful of the varied and unique opportunities including direct participation of user organizations, workshops, and liaisons 2.Maintain and disseminate up‐to‐date information of all known accessibility‐related standards efforts, i.e. the standards inventory 3.Maintain and disseminate up‐to‐date information on accessibility‐related user needs, i.e. the user needs summary 4.Through wide dissemination of the SWG materials, encourage the use of globally relevant voluntary accessibility‐related standards 5.Together with PAS mentors, advise consortia/fora, if requested, in their submission of accessibility‐related standards/specifications to the formal standards process 6.Provide support when JTC 1 needs assistance related to accessibility (such as duties for WSC Accessibility Strategic Advisory Group and input on accessible ISO web content) ISO/IEC TR 29138-1:2009, Information technology - Accessibility considerations for people with disabilities -Part 1: User needs summary ISO/IEC TR 29138-2:2009, Information technology - Accessibility considerations for people with disabilities - Part 2: Standards inventory ISO/IEC TR 29138-3:2009, Information technology - Accessibility considerations for people with disabilities - Part 3: Guidance on user needs mapping National Bodies to submit input to SWG on Accessibility regarding the issues, changes, updates to JTC 1 Standing Documents to improve accessibility.

Identify market requirements and standardization gaps for IoT; 2. Encourage JTC 1 SCs and WGs to address the need for ISO/IEC standards for IoT; 3. Facilitate cooperation across JTC 1 entities; 4. Promote JTC 1 developed standards for IoT and encourage them to be recognized and utilized by industry and other standards setting organizations; 5. Facilitate the coordination of JTC 1 IoT activities with IEC, ISO, ITU and other organizations that are developing standards for IoT; 6. Periodically report results and recommendations to JTC 1/SWG on Planning; and 7. Provide a written report of activities and recommendations to JTC 1 in advance of each JTC1 Plenary meeting. N11942 NWIP Proposal for a New Work Item on Internet of Things Reference Architecture. Comments due to SA 3/3 and to ISO 18/03. Meeting in China 18-20 March 2014 Is a topic of consideration within SC 32 as reported to the Plenary, and continues to be of interest to other JTC 1 SCs including SC 27, SC 34 and SC 38

P member 1. Survey the existing ICT landscape for key technologies and relevant standards /models/studies /use cases and scenarios for Big Data from JTC 1, ISO, IEC and other standards setting organizations, 2. Identify key terms and definitions commonly used in the area of Big Data, 3. Assess the current status of Big Data standardization market requirements, identify standards gaps, and propose standardization priorities to serve as a basis for future JTC 1 work, and 4. Provide a report with recommendations and other potential deliverables to the 2014 JTC 1 Plenary. No projects to date JTC 1 November 2013 Resolution 27 – Establishment of a Study Group on Big Data, and Call for Participation. Closed 27/01 SA is also keen to discuss a joint JTC 1 SAC/Standards Australia industry forum in 2H 2014 to explore this new area of standardisation

Provide a description of key concepts related to Smart Cities, establish the definition of Smart Cities based on the key concepts, and describe relevant terminology. 2. Study and document the technological, market and societal requirements for the ICT standardization aspects of Smart Cities. 3. Study and document current technologies that are being deployed to enable Smart Cities. 4. Assess the current state of standardization activities relevant to Smart Cities within JTC 1, in other relevant ISO and IEC TCs, in other SDOs and in consortia. 5. Identify and propose how JTC 1 should address the ICT standardization needs of Smart Cities. 6. Provide a report with recommendations, and potentially other deliverables, to the 2014 JTC 1 Plenary. In the area of generic solutions for sensor networks, undertake standardization activities that support and can be applied to the technical work of all relevant JTC 1 entities and to other standards organizations. This includes activities in sensor networks such as the following: a) Standardization of terminology b) Development of a taxonomy c) Standardization of reference architectures d) Development of guidelines for interoperability e) Standardization of specific aspects of sensor networks 2. In the area of application - oriented sensor networks, identify gaps and commonalities that may impact standardization activities within the scope of JTC 1. Further, share this information with relevant entities within and outside of JTC 1. Unless better pursued within another JTC 1 entity, the following standardization activities may be pursued as projects by this Working Group: a) Addressing the technology gaps within the scope of JTC 1 entities b) Exploiting technology opportunities where it is desirable to provide common approaches to the use of sensor networks across application domains c) Addressing emerging areas related to M2M and IoT Documents for ballot: N11929 NWIP Proposal for a New Work Item on Sensor Network Testing Framework. Due ISO 05/05. National Mirror Committee is looking at becoming a P member. This will require a constituted committee.

12 12 SC 40 IT Service Management and IT Governance JTC 1 Committee Australian Mirror Committee (where applicable) / Chair Participation (P /O member) ScopeStandards and Projects under the direct responsibility Current status ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 40 IT service management and IT governance Chair: AU Secretariat: SA IT-030 – ICT Governance and Management P memberStandardization of IT Service Management and IT Governance. Develop standards, tools, frameworks, best practices and related documents for IT Service Management and IT Governance, including areas of IT activity such as audit, digital forensics, governance, risk management, outsourcing, service operations and service maintenance, but excluding subject matter covered under the scope and existing work programs of JTC 1/SC 27 and JTC 1/SC 38. The work will initially cover: Corporate Governance of IT: the development of the ISO/IEC 38500 series standards and related documents, Operational aspects of Governance of IT: work in ISO/IEC 30120 series and interfaces with the management of IT as well as the role of governance in the area of business innovation. All aspects relating to IT service management and IT-Enabled Services/Business Process Outsourcing Call for participation closed on the 22/01/2014 First webex meeting 12/02/2014 June Plenary meeting – Sydney 2014
