Torah: Blessing of Obedience Deuteronomy 7:12-14 12 If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the L ORD your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. 13 He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and olive oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. 14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor will any of your livestock be without young. 1.What does Yahweh promise to do as a blessing for your obedience? (Stand and Read aloud answers in scripture) 2.How has God blessed you? (Write on the heart post note your answers and attach to your blessing poster.) 4

Torah: Blessing of Obedience Deuteronomy 7:15 15 The L ORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you. 1.Yahweh will keep you free from what? _________________________________ 2.He will inflict diseases on all who _____________. 3.Tell of a time when God healed you? (Write your answer on a heart post note and attach to your blessing poster.) 5

Torah: The Test Deuteronomy 8:2 2 Remember how the L ORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. 1.Hard times or tests come to show what is in your heart and what you will do. Write a hard time or test and what did you say and do? _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ 6

Torah: Why do we fail? Deuteronomy 9:4-6 10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the L ORD your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the L ORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the L ORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 1. This scripture tells us to be careful that we do not _____________ the Lord our God. 2. When we forget God we fail to _______________________________. 3. 8 Haftarah: Isaiah 50:4-8 The Sovereign L ORD has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed. 5 The Sovereign L ORD has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away. 6 I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face, from mocking and spitting. 7 Because the Sovereign L ORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. 8 He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges against me? Let us face each other! Who is my accuser? Let him confront me! What does this scripture tell us we should be like? Circle phrases or words. (Write on Heart post notes and attach to blessing poster.) 8

Brit Chadashah: The true tabernacle Acts 7:44-50 44 “Our ancestors had the tabernacle of the covenant law with them in the wilderness. It had been made as God directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen. 45 After receiving the tabernacle, our ancestors under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David, 46 who enjoyed God’s favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. 47 But it was Solomon who built a house for him. 48 “However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says: 49 “‘Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? 50 Has not my hand made all these things?’ 2 Corinthians 6:16 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 1.What actions show that you are worshiping and remembering God and what he has done in your life. List them here.__________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________ 9 Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness Gentleness, Self-Control

John 14:14-18 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
