Perla Shitrit, the teacher of “Hadas” kindergarten in Akko and the class children made Falafel and documented the whole procedure. Now, when you will see the pictures, you will be able to make Falafel too and enjoy it on the coming “Yom Hatzmaut”! “Beteavon”! Edit by Efrat Srebro
Falafel Recipe By Perla Shitrit, “Hadas” class teacher. Take two glasses of chickpeas and soak them overnight in water 4-8 garlic pieces 1-2 onions Handful of fresh Parsley Handful of fresh Coriander Two wet bread slices One spoon of cumin One spoon of salt One spoon of black pepper One tea spoon of hot pepper (it is an option) Tea spoon of Baking Soda
How to do it: Put the chickpeas in a strainer so there will be no water left. Grind all the ingredients except the baking soda in a food processor. Let it rest for half of an hour. Add the baking Soda and stir. Wet your hands and make small balls out of the dough. Fry the balls in a pan with a lot of hot oil Add salad, Tehina and chips and put it all in a fresh Pita
