1
CONCEPT OF Geometrical structures FOR SECONDARAY LEVEL BY Class-ix Ghss,Anandchowk,T.G

2
Objectives 1.to make students enable to imagine a structure or shape of an object. 2.to enable the students to start the drawing of the imagined object. 3.to draw the various possible shapes of the objects in their surroundings. 4.to apply these shapes to understand the dimensions 5.to get an idea of formation of line, area and volume of the structure formed.

3
imagination of a structure regular shapes irregular shapes cloud lea f stone regular shapes irregular shapes circle trapiz cuboid cylind octagonal rectangle triangle cone

4
Thought process Formation of a structure by combination of number of dot at a surface

5
What is a dot or a point dots combinations at a surface It is an imaginary mark where from a unit formation takes place

6
Role of a dot joining of dots means formation of --- Line line

7
Now what is a line line is the fundamental unit-cell to form a structure/shape. that means when a line moves about a dot it develops a geometrical shape----- AREA rectangle circle AREA LINE

8
What is a volume When an area revolves or moves about a line or surface means volume is formed area volume

9
Dimensions One dimensions or 1-D Two dimensions or 2-D Three dimensions or 3-D Line Area Volume

10
magic of dimensions

11
Formation of various structures Triangle cuboidscube II-gram cylinder

12
formation of regular shapes from irregular shapes stone Area AREA

13
formation of axes X X X X’ Y Y Z X Y Y’

14
formation of two and three dimensional figures- EXAMPLES

15
