Moon Dough Activity

What are you going to do? Each group will have 10 minutes to explore one of the following solids: cone, cylinder, rectangular prism, hexagonal prism, triangular prism, triangular pyramid, square pyramid. Each group will fill their given solid with moon dough and use craft string to make parallel, perpendicular, and tilted cuts from the base.

Rules with Moon Dough Keep it in the box lid DO NOT play with it Do not pack in too much into the solid When trying to get it out, hold it over the box lid If it gets stuck, gently press the center of each face to loosen it
