ESTRATEGIA IGITAL NACIONAL | DATOS ABIERTOS G20 Anti Corruption Working Group 2015 - 2016 Anti Corruption Action Plan and Implementation Plan Commitments around Open Data: ●Prepare a G20 compendium of good practices and lessons learned on open data and its application in the fight against corruption. ●Prepare G20 Open Data Principles, including identifying areas or sectors where their application is particularly useful and taking into account different national legal frameworks. ●Complete self ‐ assessments of their open data frameworks and initiative
Decisions in the G20 are taken by consensus while international politics are involved - To avoid turning Open Data into a politicized issue: ●International Open Data Charter as neutral and independent ●Strengthen technical dimension The form IS substance: ●Understand the mechanism’s own processes ●Foster ownership Turkey has asked Mexico and the USA to lead the discussions around Open Data in the ACWG ESTRATEGIA IGITAL NACIONAL | DATOS ABIERTOS G20 Open Data Strategy

Survey To gather member countries’ priorities around open data and promote ownership Narrative - one pager Develop a strong narrative for Open Data in the G20 to gather consensus around charter eg: 2% + more anti corruption studies; Link Anti Corruption work to each member’s capabilities, objectives and context (using survey results) Roadmap Agree on the best timing to socialize the International Open Data Charter and start its adoption Packet Build an Open Data packet with a single narrative and position for our colleagues at other national agencies and key people involved in G20, Post 2015 agenda, etc. Ad Hoc outreach 1-to-1 conference calls between the members of the core group and the rest of the priority actors, to explain the Charter, process and next steps Technical Annex Workshops (ongoing) Develop specific annexes to the Charter, to address specific technical issues such as standards, and best practices; as well as sectoral initiatives for the use of Open Data such as anti corruption in the G20, development for the Post 2015 agenda and sustainability in the COP 21 ESTRATEGIA IGITAL NACIONAL | DATOS ABIERTOS Next steps
