5 * 30 minutes- Part 3 only (prepare bots and barriers ahead of time) * 1 hour- Complete parts 1 and 3 (prepare barriers ahead of time) * 1 ½- 2 hours- complete all three parts of the experiment * 2 ½ -3 hours- include extension activities

6 * Clubs: * Provide re-usable kits to leaders to test eco-bot efficiency * Host a county-level club challenge for best design/most efficient, eco bot races, eco bot mazes, painting, etc. View the U-tube video by Klutz for contest ideas xuAp4. xuAp4

7 * Camps: * Include experiment as part of a Junk- drawer robotics day camp * Conduct the experiment as part of a 1 day or ½ day camp during a teacher workday or school holiday

8 * School Enrichment/Afterschool: * Set up booth at PTA/PTO meetings, open house, or parent’s night for afterschool * Use experiment during ecology field days * Host a school contest for best dressed eco bot (tie into Halloween) or efficiency * Family Fun Science Night/Day

12 * Order your kits and register your event online: * Assemble sample eco-bot * Compile additional items needed * Print/copy/laminate additional maps * If skipping part 2, affix barriers to your beach mats
