The EUMETSAT funding approach via long-term programmes and ‘inheritance’ of archive from one programme to the next ensures the long-term preservation of the EUMETSAT data and products. Multi-mission infrastructure and operations established, maintained, and planned to be evolved in support to existing and future missions: –legacy archive of Meteosat since 1981; developing archives for Metop and Jason-2 –support to previous and future reprocessing campaigns and climate monitoring international initiatives.
