3 Effective as of September 1, 2011, applicants will no longer be able to apply for the following certificates: Students with Disabilities Grades 7-12: Biology Chemistry Earth Science English Language Arts LOTE Mathematics Physics Social Studies

4 Individuals enrolled in approved programs leading to certificates prior to September 1, 2011 will be allowed to complete their programs and apply for those certificates. All requirements for those titles must be completed by September 1, 2014

13 The Teacher will need a Students with Disabilities Grades 7-12 Generalist subject matter extension to be a Special Class Teacher in the subject of the extension: Biology – Chemistry – Earth Science – Physics – Mathematics & Social Studies

16 In order to work in a single subject classroom, the teacher must possess a certificate in the subject matter. Subject Extension certificates can not be used to satisfy this requirement.
