3 Graduation Requirements, Class of 2015 Successful completion of a minimum of twenty-three credits. Successful completion of courses required by state statute, those required by State Board of Education Rules and Regulations and those required by the Board of Directors of the Kent School District. Successful completion of a culminating project Successful establishment of a high school + educational plan (13th year) Demonstration of proficiency on the reading, writing, math, and science standards on the required high school statewide assessment or an appropriate alternative assessment.

4 Washington State History Through the Class of 2015, students must complete a course in Washington State History. Any student who transfers from another state having already studied that state’s history will not be required to complete Washington State History.

5 Washington State History A student may complete Washington State History in 7th or 8th grade to meet the requirement but will not receive the.5 high school credit. Alternative learning experiences to meet the.5 credit requirement of Washington State History are provided for students who need to meet this requirement.
