3
Converting Fahrenheit to Celsius °C = (°F - 32) ÷ 1.8 9/5 = ( F – 32 ) C For example: : (68°F-32) ÷ 1.8 = (36) ÷ 1.8 = 20°C

4
Converting Celsius to Fahrenheit °F = (°C x 1.8) + 32 9/5 = ( F – 32 ) C For example: (20°C x 1.8) + 32 = (36) + 32 = 68°F

5
Steps to Converting *Fahrenheit to Celsius* Convert 100° F to Celsius 9/5 = ( F-32) Begin with proportion F->C C 9/5 = ( 100-32) Put 100 in for F symbol. C 9/5 = ( 68) Complete all work in parentheses before cross multiplying C 9c = 5*68 Cross Multiply. 9c = 340 Divide both sides by 9 to get C alone. 9 C = 37.7… round to 37.8° C

6
Steps to Converting *Celsius to Fahrenheit* 9/5 = ( F – 32) Begin with proportion. C 9/5= ( F – 32) Put 46 in for symbol C. 46 9 * 46 = 5 ( F – 32) Cross Multiply. 414 = 5F – 160 Multiply everything in parenthesis by 5. 574 = 5F Divide both sides by 5 to get F alone. 5 5 114.8=F
