2 FY05 School Year Programs Highlights (Fall and Winter Sessions) More than 4,100 students in math and 2,100 in English Language Arts (ELA) were served by districts, high schools, community colleges, and partnering organizations during the fall and/or winter. 56% served were in the 11 th grade (’06), 26% in 12 th grade (’05), 14% in 9/10 th grade (’07/’08), and 4% were post-12 th graders (’03/’04). Over 23% more students who participated earned their competency determination (CD) on Nov.04/Mar. 05 retest than those who did not participate.

3 FY05 School Year Programs Highlights Continued (Fall and Winter Sessions) According to SIMS data reported by districts: Nearly 50% of students served were eligible for free/reduced lunch. Overall, approximately 40% served were Special Education (SPED) and 15% Limited English Proficient (LEP) (nearly 30% served in ELA were LEP). 50% of students served were White, 24% Hispanic, 22% Black, and 4% Asian/Pacific Islander.
