9 RISE OF DICTATORS  Discouraged masses began following dictatorial political leaders who offered “simple solutions” to problems.  The democratic Weimar Republic of Germany faced numerous problems = no outstanding leaders, runawayinflation, and the Great Depression, led to rise of extremists.
