The beginning of my journey I have always wanted to be a teacher Started off wanting to be a kindergarten teacher but I also had interest in becoming a math teacher. Meghan Ferraco, Field hockey coach and Kindergarten teacher; told me they eat meals in her class and you never focus on one thing. This made me re-think my major.
Looking More into my Career Interviewing Mrs. Cassidy, my freshman math teacher helped a lot. Allowed me to realize becoming a high school math teacher is right for me. Mrs. Weaver also helped, explaining how hard a day may be yet at the same time it is so rewarding.
Focusing on my Career I would like to become a High school math teacher College search – Narrowed down to three schools Keene State Eastern Uconn All offer Secondary education and are small- Medium sized schools
Choosing a College Eastern – Small school, no masters program, do not like location UConn – Nice location, offer masters program, student body too large as well as class sizes Keene – Location is welcoming, Offer masters program, student body small, class sizes small. Keene became my top choice (Also Accepted)
Career 120 credits for Bachelors at Keene Student teaching 48 Credits of math classes Praxis Tests to become certified in the state I choose to teach in Teachers Benefits: Retirement, Heath Insurance, Summers / Vacation time
