What males wore during that time Clothing in the Victorian Era was very fancy for males, it was focused around looking clean and professional. The clothing included tuxedos with fancy top hats and dress shoes as well as neckties and or bowties. It was likely made out of expensive material including silks, cotton…etc. Every person with a pocket of fair weight probably wore such clothing on a daily basis.
Who Made The Clothing Across this Era clothing changed significantly, clothing was no made by hand as much anymore as it used to, machines now did most of the work. It took up until 1907 for machinery to reach it’s peak efficiency during the Era.
How male clothing was made Most of the clothing in this time was created by machines and were dyed with chemical dyes unlike the previous era where natural dye’s were the only dye used on clothing.
What kind of dyes were used During this era many types of dyes were invented including aniline purple or mauveine. Many dyeing companies were existant and were constantly searching for more types of chemicals that could be used as Dyes at this time.
How did this Era affect our clothing style? The Victorian Era invented different types of stiches as well as brighter, stronger dyes and speeded up the process of creating clothing. Even today we still use this clothing style but at a way lower degree. During current times Victorian Era time clothing is changed to be a little less extravagant and is reserved for special occasions in most cases.
