Let Me Introduce Myself Graduated from the University of St. Thomas. Major in Bilingual Education Minor in Philosophy Bilingual/ESL Certified. Technology Network Specialist Certified. I have been with the district 18 years I have taught 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 5 th grade, Art and Technology.
I’m originally from Seville, Spain. I have been married for 17 years. I have two boys, Andrew 14 and Ryan 9. I love nature and animals and I have two cats Milo and Paco. Let Me Introduce Myself
School Year & Expectations Classroom Management based on the Essential Agreements and Consequences We will be good communicators by: Raising ours hand and waiting our turn to ask or answer questions. We will show respect to each other & the teacher by Not interrupting the learning environment & not putting down others. We will respect the personal space & the property of others.
Consequences 1. I will be in a time-out to work independently for the rest of the lesson(s) period. 2. I will reflect on my actions & write an apology during 10 minutes recess. 3. My parents will be notified. 4. My parents will be required to come for a conference.
Class Dojo, A Self- Monitoring Resource for Conduct Website classroom management program that allows students and parents to see daily progress. Students and parents are assigned a code to register. Students receive positive and/or negative points. during the day based on their classroom performance.

Main issues faced by 3 rd graders Independence & Self- Reliance- Students work toward being independent, solving their own issues and believing in themselves. Stamina- Students work toward building the ability to endure and sustain prolonged mental effort. This skill will allow them to successfully complete standardized examinations. Use of the Second Language(Spanish or English) - Students gain an understanding of the relevance of learning a second language and “get involved” actively in the second language culture. A language is not learned only at school.
Recommendation to Parents Create habits and routines. Instill responsibility. Set expectations, consequences and rewards. Daily reading 30 minutes. Check planner daily to learn about homework updates, projects, and/or communicate with the teacher.
