THE TABERNACLE IT’S TYPES & SHADOWS

What is so important about the Tabernacle?

The Tabernacle is “a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses is warned (of God) when he is about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern that was showed thee in the mount.” Heb 8:5 ASV

“For the law having a shadow of the good (things) to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.” Heb 10:1 ASV “For the law having a shadow of the good (things) to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.” Heb 10:1 ASV But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, Heb 9:11 ASV

Mal 3:3 – “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.” KJV Reprint 5119:5 – “This prophecy refers… to the antitypical priesthood… The work of this great Refiner is to purify the members of the Church class--not only the Little Flock, but the Great Company as well… Gold represents the Divine or higher order of spirit nature, and silver, the lower order. The gold represents the Little Flock, and the Silver the Great Company." GOLD & SILVER

2 Tim 2:20 – “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.” KJV HG752:4 – “In the New Testament this class is referred to in our text as "vessels of silver," or less honorable than the vessels of gold, and they are particularly brought to our attention in our Lord's last message to his Church, in which he pictures them as a "great company" in contrast with the "little flock." GOLD & SILVER

2 Tim 2:20 – “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.” KJV HG752:6 – “The vessels of earth and of wood are specified as indicating those unto less honor, and to our understanding represent in the future those who will be servants of God on the earthly or human plane.” WOOD

COPPER (BRONZE) Num 21:5,6&8 – “And the people spoke against God and against Moses: "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread." So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died. Then the LORD said to Moses, ”Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live." So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived. - NKJV

Tabernacle Shadows Preface – “The first edition of this little book was published in 1881, and under the Lord’s blessing seems to have been very helpful to the class for which it was specially intended —the "royal priesthood." Many of this class have confessed that as the finger of the Lord it pointed out to them meanings in the Old Testament types never before appreciated and that it has thus guided them in the way of self-sacrifice by leading them to see the true significance of the Scriptural declarations…"

Tabernacle Shadows Preface – “…Present your bodies living sacrifices," "Fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ," "If we suffer with him we shall also reign with him," "Let us go to him outside the camp, bearing the reproach with him"; besides many other Scripture statements which associate the Lord’s people with himself both "in the sufferings of this present time and the glory to follow." “
