If there was another or different day, Jesus would have mentioned it.) “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:11 (KJV) (The seventh day, the day of rest, is observed by those that receive the seal of God. Those that receive the mark of the beast reject God’s Sabbath and therefore “have no rest day”.)

The true ground of divine worship, not of that on the seventh day merely, but of all worship, is found in the distinction between the Creator and his creatures. This great fact can never become obsolete, and must never be forgotten.’ It was to keep this truth ever before the minds of men, that God instituted the Sabbath in Eden; and so long as the fact that he is our Creator continues to be a reason why we should worship him, so long the Sabbath will continue as its sign and memorial. The keeping of the Sabbath is a sign of loyalty to the true God, ‘him that made heaven and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.’ It follows that the message which commands men to worship God and keep his commandments, will especially call upon them to keep the fourth commandment.”- The Great Controversy (1888), pages 437 and 438. Some may have never heard the Sabbath truth. Is being ignorant of and/or not fully understanding God’s law inexcusable? Sister White had the following comment that may help answer the question:

Through the influence of the divine Spirit they have been a blessing to those about them. Even among the heathen are those who have cherished the spirit of kindness; before the words of life had fallen upon their ears, they have befriended the missionaries, even ministering to them at the peril of their own lives. Among the heathen are those who worship God ignorantly, those to whom the light is never brought by human instrumentality, yet they will not perish. Though ignorant of the written law of God, they have heard His voice speaking to them in nature, and have done the things that the law required. Their works are evidence that the Holy Spirit has touched their hearts, and they are recognized as the children of God.”- The Desire of Ages, (1898), page 638.
