WHY PROTOCOL? - Enhances prestige of organization - Brings decorum to a meeting
PRESIDENT AS MEETING CHAIRPERSON - Calls Meeting to Order - Does General Welcome, Acknowledgements - Ensures Agenda will be followed - Informs persons beforehand of roles during meeting - If President absent? ……. -Current -Past -Future
PROTOCOL FOR MEMBERS - President must ALWAYS be addressed - Reference to other Rotaractors - Informing of absence or lateness, reports, submitted, etc. “President John, Fellow Rotaractors & Guests”
- Guests should not introduce themselves - Greeter/Sarge welcome guests, visitors - Thank you for coming - Did you enjoy the meeting? - Did you sign our guestbook?
AGENDA - Must be adhered to - Guest Speaker as second to last item on agenda - Last item is Vote of Thanks - All “business” conducted before any activities - No Politics/Religion - Grace should be invocation for all denominations
PINS - Men wear on LEFT collar - Ladies wear on RIGHT collar (According to button flap on clothing)
ETIQUETTE - Respond within 48 hours of receiving - Protocol must be observed : “Good Day ADRR Mark, Received your . President Marie will be sending you the information you requested by the end of this week. YIR, Secretary Janet. “
