Overview Goal of this initiative Timeline for submitting and approving the online timecard Accessing Trojan Web Express Entering time worked Reviewing/approving submitted work time Confirmation of submission to Payroll Implementation
Goal of Online Timecard Streamline the submission and approval process for timecards. Improve reporting of hours worked. Eliminate the need to estimate future time worked due to submission timelines.
Timeline for Submission 11:59pm Saturday of the second week in the pay period: employee must submit hours worked. 12:00pm Monday following the end of the pay period: supervisors must review, take any corrective action, and approve timecard. After 12:00pm Monday: issues that arise will require coordination with Payroll.
Supervisor Options The supervisor may enter time for an employee when the employee is unable to enter his/her own time. Supervisors should avoid entering time for employees when possible to ensure employees sign the final timecard. The proper procedure for changing a timecard is for the supervisor to reject the submission and provide feedback for revisions.
Implementation Student workers will begin using the new process in September. Campus-by-campus rollout will begin in late September. Full implementation should occur by December.
Guides for Employees and Supervisors Step-by-step guides are available for employees and supervisors. Guides may be found on the Troy University website under Payroll in the Human Resources section. www.troy.edu/humanresources/payroll.html
