PROCESS OF EMPOWERMENT NAT IONAL EMPOWERMENT REGISTRATION We know the population figure of Nigeria, “170 million” but we do not know the number of unemployed people, the number of poor and suffering masses, the number of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises seeking for loan to boost their businesses.

19. That is why the Institute of Empowerment and Strategy decided to undertake the onerous task of conducting National Empowerment Registration throughout the 36 States and 774 Local Governments in Nigeria including Abuja.

20. PURPOSE OF THE REGISTRATION To obtain and store electronically a comprehensive verifiable data of Nigerians desiring economic empowerment and emancipation in all areas of life, especially the unemployed or underemployed persons and all those involved or wish to be involved in any economic activities whether in the productive sector, or distributive trade and commerce or industrial and social sectors etc.

21. The registration will form our database for economic planning, economic empowerment, and distribution of economic empowerment materials across the States and Local Governments in Nigeria, locations for the establishment of Industrial Clusters based on comparative and competitive advantage, and as well the Urban Housing Estates Development.

22. Only those who participate in this registration, whose names appear in our database, will be eligible to receive any form of empowerment or the other.

23. METHOD OF REGISTRATION The National Empowerment Registration will be done on-line with multifaceted approach. Step 1: Get the registration scratch card from any branch of First Bank (Nig) Plc, Fidelity Bank (Nig) Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Ecobank (Nig) Plc United Bank for Africa Plc, FCMB Plc, Skye Bank Plc, Wema Bank Plc, or the accredited dealers or our field officers nation-wide with the sum of ₦2,000 naira only.

24. Step 2: Scratch the card and enter the pin-code in our website www.iesng.org, after the home page, you will see column to enter the pin. The moment you enter the pin, the registration form will appear. Fill the form diligently and scan your passport at the upper right hand side and send. www.iesng.org

25. Step 3: After sending the completed form, wait for some seconds, a computer print-out showing the success of your registration will come out, and that becomes your evidence of registration. You may photocopy it or laminate it, keep it safe for that becomes your registration card.

26. APPOINTMENT OF ACCREDITED DEALERS AND CO-ORDINATORS The Consultant is desirous to appoint the following persons to assist us in the co-ordination of activities: State Coordinators Local Government Coordinators Accredited Dealers We want the registration to be an inter-personal networking since it carries a 10% interest as commission.

27. REGISTRATION FEES AND COMMISSION The registration fee is ₦2,000 All accredited dealers shall be entitled to ₦200 commission on each person that they register If you register 500 people you get ₦100,000 If you register 1,000 people you get ₦200,000 If you register 10 people you get ₦2,000

28. BONUS State coordinators who mobilizes accredited agents in their States shall be entitled to ₦100 commission. e.g. If he mobilizes up to 50 people to participate in the registration exercise and the 50 people registered a total of 2,500 people within a month, the State Coordinator has a commission of ₦250,000 apart from the ones he registered himself. The same goes to the Local Government Coordinator.

29. A regional coordinator who supervises a geo-political zone shall be entitled to an attractive salary. An active state coordinator can as well assume the position of a regional coordinator. States that record the highest number of registration shall as well receive a bonuses.

30. APPROACH TOWARDS REGISTRATION To have an overwhelming result, agents should always target to speak to group of people – like Churches, mosques, Village Meetings, Women Meetings, Co- operatives, Market Unions, Students in the Universities or Polytechnics.

31. Agents can decide to organize small meetings to make your presentation because we want the registration to cover every Local Government in Nigeria. Agents will also benefit from our various advertisements through the Newspapers, Radio, Social Media Network or the SMS through all the Networks.

32. METHOD OF OPERATION All accredited agents are expected to pay and collect the registration scratch cards on the spot. E.g. If you want to pick 20 cards valued at ₦40,000 you are expected to pay ₦36,000 as your commission for 20 cards is ₦4,000. On no account should the cards be given out without payment.

33. WHAT NEXT AFTER REGISTRATION After the registration exercise there is going to be an economic empowerment summit in all the States where proper training and information on how to access the various empowerment programs will be unveiled.

34. In that training summit, State and Local Government Officers shall be nominated or elected. This will enhance the process of our empowerment program as registered members shall be properly organized and integrated in all aspect of the Institute’s program.
