3 God is jealous in a positive sense (Exodus 34:14). He does not like us to worship idols. Likewise a Husband can be jealous if his wife is flirting with another man (Numbers 5:14) Green with Jealously

23 C. What is the remedy for jealousy? 1. Be willing to suffer on behalf of another Christ is the best Model for us. Christ is the best Model for us. 1 Peter 3:17-18a “For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous….”1 Peter 3:17-18a “For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous….” Green with Jealously

24 Genesis 44:32-34 “Your servant guaranteed the boy's safety to my father. I said, `If I do not bring him back to you, I will bear the blame before you, my father, all my life!' 28 D. So how do we overcome the sin of jealousy? Repent Stop doubting God’s love for you Stop doubting God’s justice Green with Jealously

29 Take every negative thought captive (2 Cor. 10:5) Meditate on Jesus: {Jesus suffered for us, the just for the unjust} Operate in the opposite spirit of compassion & kindness Green with Jealously
