Twitter How to create a Twitter account: Go to: Fill in your: Full name address Password Choose your username
Profile Images There are 3 types of images: 1) Your profile 2) The header 3) The background image
Profile Images As this is a personal account it's best to choose a picture of yourself as the profile image. The header and background image is a good place to represent your business. It's a good idea to include your logo in this area and anything else that connects directly to you.
How to get Twitter followers * Put in keywords in the search field, for example dog, dogs, dog training etc. and then follow people. a big percentage will follow you back. * Include your twitter ID: - On your website - In your leaflets and flyers - On your business card - In your signature - In your E-books - In your reports
What to tweet * Interesting facts about your niche. * Interesting facts about dog and puppy training. * Thought provoking quotes. * See what topics people with lots of followers are talking about. Are there any 'hot' topics they often talk about? * Engage and ask questions in your tweets in order to connect with people further.
Where to find great tweets * Forums * Blogs * Books * Dog training websites * Reports * Google – dog quotes, funny dog quotes, dog sayings etc.
When, how often and how many to tweet * It's best to tweet at different times of the day and particularly at peak times which is thought to be: - 9am - 3pm - 6pm.
When, how often and how many to tweet * tweets a day is a good number to aim for. * This will include 3-4 good quality content tweets which is of value to your followers, followed by a promotional tweet.

Facebook Create a facebook fan page for your business which is different from a profile page although it's still under the same account. Facebook does not like people to have more than one account.
Creating a Facebook Fan Page * Click on create a brand or product * Category – Website * Brand or product name – your website name for example Good Dogs! * Agree Facebook terms and agree to get started. * You fan page is created!
Customizing a Facebook Fan Page * Firstly add your profile picture – needs to be consistent with your website and any other social media accounts. * Your profile picture should be 180 pixels wide by 180 pixels high. * Now you'll need to add a cover photo which is 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels high.
